Parents,
We are at the last week of the second quarter! It's hard to believe your scholars are already halfway through second grade. They have come so far, and I am very proud of them all. This week: We will have 30 spelling words. Please complete the nightly homework with markings on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Markings are not required on Thursdays. In math, we will spend the week reviewing all the concepts we have learned throughout the semester. There will not be math homework this week. In history, we will take our final Ancient Greece test on Tuesday. Please study all Ancient Greece notes accordingly to prepare. In literature, we will have a quick test on Wednesday on all the gods and goddesses we have studied. We will send home riddle cards on Tuesday that your scholar has made throughout the past month to help study. We will not have any grammar lessons this week. If you are interested in donating to our Virtue Party this Thursday, December 15th, please see this link to sign-up: www.SignUpGenius.com/go/20F0D4EA8AD2EA3FF2-virtue Thank you for all of your support this year! I am happy to announce that our scholars have been working very hard to earn all of our classroom marbles to earn a reward party! This class has been so wonderful to work with. They deserve every minute of their celebration for working so hard this year! Our classroom party for such virtuous behavior is going to be Thursday, December 15th. Due to Arizona’s “winter” weather, I thought it would be fun to have hot chocolate and popcorn as a treat while we get to do flashlight reading. Each scholar will be allowed to bring:
