Dear Families,
We are excited to go to the Desert Botanical Garden to be Desert Detectives for the day to learn about the life cycles of various desert plants and animals. We are also excited to have an extra bit of time in the Butterfly Pavilion! Please see below for all the details. When: Thursday, April 5 from 9:30-11:30 pm Where: Desert Botanical Garden (for tour/pavilion) What to Bring: quick and healthy snack, disposable water bottle with name written on it, sunscreen and/or hat What to Wear: Archway Trivium East uniform attire Cost: $10 in exact cash/check due by Monday, April 2 Lunch: We will eat lunch when we return back to school. Please send in a lunch for your child just like a normal day. Permission Slips: Permission slips were sent home today in your child’s red folder. Please sign and return the permission slip and $10 fee no later than Monday, April 2. Chaperones: If you are interested in being a chaperone, you must have a fingerprint clearance card on file with our school and send in an extra $10 for yourself in order to attend. Per the Desert Botanical Garden’s policy, I can only take 5 parent chaperones, so if we have more than 5 parents interested, I will put together a drawing and the first 5 names picked will be able to attend. Please email me if you are interested. Please be sure scholars arrive to school promptly at 7:50 on this day to ensure we have proper time to prepare. Please contact me if you have any questions. The second grade team looks forward to exploring the Garden together!
