It was so fun to see your scholars all dressed up for Picture Day on Friday! I am excited to see how our class picture turned out! Upcoming events: - September 21st - Spalding Informational Night - 6:00-7:00 - September 23rd - Spirit Day - September 30th - Half Day - October 5th - Singapore Math Informational Night - 6:00-7:00 This week: - In Spalding, we will have 30 spelling words. Please be sure to complete markings on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Markings are not required on Thursday. Please be sure to study phonograms 1-70 every night as well. They are equally as important. - In Math, we will continue to study addition and subtraction of 2 and 3 digit numbers without renaming. There will be a quiz on Thursday. - In Science, we will review what we learned of acids, bases, neutrals, and indicators from last week and introduce how different molecules cause different tastes. We will conduct an in-class experiment on Wednesday, and there will be a test on Friday. - Tomorrow, we will begin to recite our poem Bed in Summer by Robert Louis Stevenson. Each scholar will have the opportunity to recite the poem by the end of the week. We will complete as many as we can each day in no particular order. - In literature, we will read chapters 9 and 10 in Boxcar Children. There will not be a quiz this week. - In grammar, we will continue to study adverbs and adjectives. There will be a quiz on Friday covering subject nouns, verbs, adverbs, and adjectives.
